End of Days (1999)
End of Days (1999) is a supernatural action-horror film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. The story is set at the turn of the millennium, when a retired police officer, Jericho Cane (Schwarzenegger), is caught in a battle between good and evil.
As the year 1999 nears its end, Cane stumbles upon a terrifying plot: Satan himself has come to Earth to find and impregnate a chosen woman, Christine York (played by Robin Tunney), in order to bring about the end of the world.
Cane, a cynical and traumatized former cop, must protect Christine from Satan’s minions while grappling with his own doubts and past tragedies. As the forces of evil close in, Cane finds himself facing not only demonic powers but also a personal journey toward redemption.
Directed by Peter Hyams, End of Days combines intense action sequences with religious and apocalyptic themes, making it a unique mix of action, horror, and thriller elements.
The film features a dark, moody atmosphere and explores themes of faith, destiny, and the eternal struggle between good and evil, set against the backdrop of Y2K paranoia.
