Alice in Wonderland (2010)

Alice in Wonderland (2010), directed by Tim Burton, is a fantasy adventure that reimagines Lewis Carroll’s classic tale. The story follows 19-year-old Alice Kingsleigh (Mia Wasikowska), who, at a Victorian garden party, spots a mysterious white rabbit and follows him down a rabbit hole. She finds herself in the strange and magical world of Underland, a place she visited as a child but has forgotten.
In Underland, Alice encounters a host of unusual characters, including the eccentric Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp), the Cheshire Cat, the White Queen (Anne Hathaway), and the Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter), who rules with cruelty and demands obedience.
Alice learns that she is destined to defeat the Red Queen’s fearsome creature, the Jabberwocky, and restore peace to the realm.
As she embarks on this journey, Alice grows in courage and self-discovery, challenging the expectations placed on her in her own world. In the climactic battle, Alice confronts the Jabberwocky and helps overthrow the Red Queen’s reign, bringing balance back to Underland.
The film explores themes of identity, courage, and the importance of charting one’s own path, blending whimsical visuals with a dark twist on the classic story.
