In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale (2007)
In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale (2007) is a fantasy action-adventure film loosely based on the video game series Dungeon Siege. Directed by Uwe Boll, the film is set in the magical kingdom of Ehb, which is under threat from a dark force.
The story follows a humble farmer named Farmer (played by Jason Statham), whose life is shattered when an army of savage, animalistic creatures called Krug, under the command of the evil sorcerer Gallian (Ray Liotta), attacks his village. The Krug kill Farmer’s young son and kidnap his wife, Solana (Claire Forlani). Driven by grief and vengeance, Farmer sets out on a dangerous journey to rescue his wife and bring justice to those responsible.
As Farmer ventures across the kingdom, he discovers he is connected to the royal bloodline and may be the key to defeating Gallian. With the help of King Konreid (Burt Reynolds), the loyal General Tarish (Brian J. White), and the mystical healer Merick (John Rhys-Davies), Farmer leads a rebellion against Gallian’s forces to save Ehb from destruction.
The film is a blend of epic battles, magic, and personal sacrifice, exploring themes of courage, destiny, and the fight against tyranny.
