Cult of Chucky (2017)
The seventh installment in the Child’s Play franchise, Cult of Chucky, brings the iconic killer doll back in a terrifying and twisted chapter that blurs the lines between reality and insanity. Directed by Don Mancini, the film dives deeper into the lore of Chucky, delivering a blend of psychological horror, dark humor, and gruesome slasher thrills that fans of the series have come to love.
Following the events of Curse of Chucky (2013), Nica Pierce (Fiona Dourif) finds herself institutionalized after being wrongfully accused of murdering her family—crimes actually committed by the possessed Good Guy doll, Chucky. Her psychiatrist introduces a new therapeutic tool to aid in her recovery: a Good Guy doll.
But when the doll arrives, so does a series of grisly murders, forcing Nica to confront the truth she’s been gaslit into denying. Meanwhile, familiar faces from Chucky’s past, including Tiffany Valentine (Jennifer Tilly) and Andy Barclay (Alex Vincent), return to confront the growing evil. The twist? Chucky has learned how to possess multiple dolls at once, turning his reign of terror into a deadly cult.
