Ghosts of Mars (2001)

Ghosts of Mars (2001) is a science fiction horror film directed by John Carpenter. Set in the year 2025, the movie follows a group of police officers who are sent to the red planet, Mars, to rescue a scientist named Dr. Arlene Whitlock (played by Natasha Henstridge) from a mining colony. Upon arriving, the team discovers that the colony has been overrun by a violent and mysterious force.
As they investigate, they realize that the miners have been possessed by the spirits of ancient Martian warriors, turning them into violent, savage killers. The ghosts of Mars, once the planet’s original inhabitants, have reawakened and now possess the human colonists, seeking to reclaim their world.
The group of police officers, led by Lt. Melanie Ballard (played by Ice Cube), must fight for their survival against the possessed miners and their escalating attacks. As the situation grows increasingly dire, the team must navigate through the dark, dangerous environment of Mars, trying to find a way to escape while battling the ghosts and the ruthless possessed miners.
