The joint work of two directors Chris Buck – Jennifer Lee achieved an estimated revenue of 127 million USD at 4,440 theaters in North America after three days of release, thereby becoming the animated film with the third highest opening in the history of the region – behind “Incredibles 2” ($187.2 million) and “Finding Dory” ($135.1 million). This is also the first time an animated film has earned more than 100 million USD in its opening weekend without opening in the summer.


Disney’s latest animated film also achieved an achievement exceeding expectations in the international market with 223.2 million USD. Of which, China contributed 53 million USD; UK brought “Frozen 2” 17.8 million USD; France – 13.4 million USD; Japan – 18.2 million USD; Germany – 14.9 million USD, Spain – 5.8 million USD… On a global scale, “Frozen 2” has achieved a total revenue of about 350 million USD in just 3 days of release.

Last week’s North American box office champion – “Ford v Ferrari” was pushed quite far from the throne, falling to second place with an estimated revenue of 16 million USD from 3,528 North American theaters last weekend. After 10 days of release, the film about the race between the two leading car companies in the world, with the participation of two actors Christian Bale and Matt Damon, has earned 57.9 million USD from North America. Director James Mangold’s film is currently performing steadily from the international market, contributing to a global revenue of $103.8 million.
