Mortal Kombat (1995) is a fantasy martial arts film based on the popular video game series. The story follows three martial artists—Liu Kang, Johnny Cage, and Sonya Blade—as they are chosen to participate in a deadly tournament known as “Mortal Kombat.” The tournament is held on an isolated island and is organized by the powerful sorcerer Shang Tsung, who serves the evil Emperor Shao Kahn.

The fate of Earthrealm is at stake, as the tournament is part of an ancient ritual. If the forces of evil win ten consecutive tournaments, they can invade and conquer Earth. Ultimately, Liu Kang emerges as the hero, saving Earth from the impending threat and securing the realm’s future.
