Taken (also titled 96 Hours and The Hostage) is a 2008 French English-language action-thriller film written by Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen, and directed by Pierre Morel. It stars Liam Neeson, Maggie Grace, Famke Janssen, Katie Cassidy, Leland Orser, and Holly Valance. Neeson plays Bryan Mills, a former CIA operative who sets about tracking down his teenage daughter Kim (Grace) and her best friend Amanda (Cassidy) after the two girls are kidnapped by Albanian human traffickers while traveling in France during a vacation.

In Taken 4, Bryan Mills (played by Liam Neeson) is once again forced into action when his daughter, Kim, and ex-wife, Lenore, are kidnapped by a criminal syndicate operating across Europe. This time, the stakes are higher, as the kidnappers are well-organized and have a personal vendetta against Bryan due to his past operations.

As Bryan hunts down the kidnappers, he uses his lethal set of skills, including surveillance, combat, and tactical planning, to track them across multiple cities.Along the way, he teams up with old allies and faces new enemies, leading to intense and high-stakes confrontations. But with the clock ticking, Bryan must navigate through layers of deception, betrayal, and complex international politics to rescue his loved ones before it’s too late.
