Game of Thrones – Season 1, Episode 10: “Fire and Blood” (Finale)

Following Ned Stark’s execution, the Starks are devastated. Robb Stark is declared the King in the North by his bannermen, vowing revenge against the Lannisters. Meanwhile, Tyrion is appointed as Hand of the King by his father, Tywin Lannister, to keep Joffrey in check.

Across the sea, Daenerys Targaryen wakes to find that Khal Drogo is alive but in a catatonic state due to the blood magic used by Mirri Maz Duur. Realizing he is effectively dead, Daenerys mercifully smothers him. To mark her rebirth as a true Targaryen leader, she walks into Drogo’s funeral pyre with three dragon eggs. By morning, she emerges unburned, with three newly hatched dragons, cementing her as the Mother of Dragons.

At the Wall, Jon Snow is torn between his loyalty to the Night’s Watch and his family’s suffering. His brothers convince him to stay, and the Night’s Watch prepares for an expedition beyond the Wall to investigate growing threats.
The episode ends with Daenerys standing with her dragons, signaling a new era in Westeros.
