The fifth installment of the legendary action saga, The Expendables 5, brings together a stellar cast that includes Sylvester Stallone, Jackie Chan and Dwayne Johnson. On this occasion, Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone) faces an unprecedented threat: an organization of global mercenaries conspiring to trigger a world war.

Barney reunites the Expendables team, featuring familiar faces like Lee Christmas (Jason Statham) and Gunner Jensen (Dolph Lundgren), as well as new members, such as a mysterious Asian warrior played by Jackie Chan and a ruthless federal agent played by Dwayne Johnson.

Following the failure of Expend4bles (2023), both in terms of revenue and critical reception, the future of The Expendables series has become uncertain. However, it is rumored that Sylvester Stallone is actively working on developing a fifth installment, with the possibility of splitting it into two parts. The first part is expected to be released in 2025, with the sequel in 2027.
