Fans of the iconic slasher franchise have reason to celebrate: Universal Pictures and Blumhouse just dropped the official teaser for Halloween (2025), and it promises the terrifying return of Michael Myers β€” this time with a new generation of scream queens, led by Jenna Ortega.

The 55-second teaser, released on YouTube and social media late last night, opens with haunting piano notes over darkened shots of Haddonfield, Illinois. A voiceover whispers, β€œYou can’t escape what’s been waiting…” before cutting to quick flashes of Michael Myers’ signature mask, a bloodstained knife, and terrified townspeople barricading their homes.

After the seemingly final battle at Halloween Ends, the town of Haddonfield lives in peace for four years. But then, on the night of the fifth Halloween, strange disappearances begin to occur, in a quiet, cold, and familiar way…

Michael Myers is back – but not human. Beneath the mask is a supernatural entity, no longer bound by the physical. And only Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) and her niece (Jenna Ortega) can see the true nature of the Halloween ghost.
