A 6,600-year-old burial in Russia’s Volga Region

A 6,600-year-old 𝘣𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘭 site in Russia’s Volga Region, known as 𝘎𝘳𝘢𝘷𝘦 45, offers valuable insight into an ancient culture.

The 𝘎𝘳𝘢𝘷𝘦 belonged to a young male and contained remarkable artifacts, including a bird-shaped elk antler believed to have served as a spiritual totem, and three stone mace heads likely symbolizing status or martial role.

Also found was the 𝘴𝘬𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘰𝘯 of a young goat, covered in red ocher—suggesting ritualistic practices. The partial 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘴 of two additional individuals add further mystery to the 𝘣𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘭, shedding light on the beliefs and customs of this early society.
