David Attenborough with a Titanosaur’s Massive Thigh Bone

In the BBC documentary Attenborough and the Giant Dinosaur, renowned naturalist Sir David Attenborough explores the extraordinary discovery of a massive Titanosaur fossil in Patagonia, Argentina.
Among the most remarkable finds was a colossal thigh bone (femur) measuring about 2.4 meters in length—the largest of its kind ever found. This bone belonged to a new species later named Patagotitan mayorum, one of the largest dinosaurs to have ever walked the Earth, estimated to be around 37 meters long and weighing approximately 70 tons.
Attenborough joins the team of paleontologists as they excavate, analyze, and reconstruct the remains, offering a vivid look into the life of this prehistoric giant.
The documentary combines field footage with advanced CGI to bring the Titanosaur back to life, capturing both the scale and the wonder of one of the most significant paleontological discoveries in recent history.
