THE TRANSPORTER 5

THE TRANSPORTER 5 (2025) Official Trailer | Starring Jason Statham, Scarlett Johansson

The Transporter (French: Le Transporteur) is a 2002 French-English action thriller film directed by Cory Yuen from a screenplay by Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen. It is the first installment in The Transporter franchise and stars Jason Statham as Frank Martin, alongside Shu Qi, François Berléand, Matt Schulze, and Ric Young. In the film, Frank, a British mercenary driver living in France, becomes involved in a human trafficking ring.

The Transporter was inspired by the short film series The Hire. The Transporter premiered at the Regency Village Theatre in Los Angeles on October 2, 2002, and was theatrically released in the United States on October 11 by 20th Century Fox, and in France on October 23 by EuropaCorp. It received mixed reviews, with praise for its action sequences but criticism for its plot. It grossed $43.9 million worldwide and was followed by the sequel, Transporter 2 (2005).

Transporter is the franchise that made Jason Statham a household name. My favorite among the 3 films he featured in was the first one with Shu Qi, so I made Transporter 5 about her character Lai returning into the scene to reunite with Frank Martin. I made this the 5th installation since there was a 4th Transporter reboot. I made the setting set in Hong Kong to create the plot of Frank Martin going there to save Lai. Using A.I voice the plot was introduced in the beginning. Frank Martin gets an order about delivering a package to Hong Kong ordered by Lai. I then showed Lai in the computer to imply she is ordering.

The ingredient that made the previews dream trailers perform well was the fresh clip of Frank Martin’s Audi in action. Thanks to the Transporter TV series we got plenty of that for trailer 4. In the 2nd act I used A.I once again to do the news, this time in Mandarin since our main characters are in Hong Kong. This is the first time I did a different language beside English’s for A.I. This is easily one of my favorite Transporter 5 dream trailer because it had great action scenes and actual moment with Lai and Frank talking to each other. I think Shu Qi having fresh scenes was one of the reason this was well made.
