In Monster-in-Law 2 (2025), Viola Fields (Jane Fonda) returns to her meddling, high-society form when her son Kevin (Michael Vartan) and daughter-in-law Charlotte (Jennifer Lopez) announce they’re moving cross-country with their precocious daughter — and leaving Viola behind.

But just when Charlotte thinks the storm has passed, Viola hatches a plan to “stay close” by moving in next door — to “help out,” of course.
