Roman-Era Mummy Mask

A female mummy mask from the Roman Period (1–200 CE), made of cartonnage—a composite of linen or papyrus layered with plaster and painted.

The piece measures about 49 cm in height, 35 cm in width, and 15 cm in depth. The front is embellished with a laurel-leaf diadem, a motif in Roman culture symbolizing prosperity and eternal renown.

Currently housed in the Egyptian Museum of Turin (Cat. 2261).
