Falling Skies (2011)

Falling Skies (2011) is a post-apocalyptic science fiction TV series created by Robert Rodat and produced by Steven Spielberg. The show is set in the aftermath of a devastating alien invasion that has left the Earth in ruins. The aliens, known as the “Espheni,” have wiped out most of humanity and enslaved the children using mind-controlling technology.
The story follows a group of human survivors led by Tom Mason (played by Noah Wyle), a former history professor turned resistance leader. As the second-in-command of the “2nd Massachusetts Militia Regiment,” Tom, along with his three sons and other survivors, fights to protect the remnants of humanity while searching for ways to defeat the alien invaders.
Throughout the series, Falling Skies explores themes of survival, resistance, and family. The group faces not only the overwhelming alien threat but also internal conflicts and limited resources, making their struggle even more desperate.
