Pilgrimage (2017) is a gritty historical drama set in 13th-century Ireland, following a group of monks tasked with delivering a sacred relic to Rome. The relic, believed to hold immense spiritual power, attracts hostile forces as it promises to strengthen the Church’s influence.
Led by Brother Diarmuid (Tom Holland) and a mysterious mute fighter (Jon Bernthal), the monks begin a dangerous journey across treacherous landscapes, facing threats from both brutal native tribes and French soldiers with their own agenda.
