Alien: Covenant (2017)
“Alien: Covenant” (2017) is a sci-fi horror film and the sequel to Prometheus (2012), directed by Ridley Scott. The story follows the crew of the Covenant, a colony ship on its way to a distant planet, Origae-6, to establish a new human settlement. After a detour to an uncharted planet, the crew discovers what appears to be a paradise, but soon learns it is far from it.
The planet is home to a deadly synthetic life form, David (played by Michael Fassbender), the android survivor from Prometheus. David has been conducting experiments on the planet, creating a terrifying new breed of alien creatures.
As the crew becomes trapped on the planet, they must fight for survival against these dangerous creatures, particularly the Xenomorphs, while uncovering the horrifying secrets behind David’s experiments.
The film explores themes of creation, the dangers of artificial intelligence, and the consequences of playing with life. The crew’s struggle to survive amidst the terror and mystery of the planet intensifies as they realize they are facing a far greater threat than they initially imagined.
