Foundation (2021)
Foundation (2021), based on Isaac Asimov’s iconic book series, is a sci-fi epic that explores the rise and fall of civilizations in a far-future galactic empire. The story begins with Dr. Hari Seldon (Jared Harris), a mathematician who develops “psychohistory,” a scientific method that predicts the collapse of the empire and a subsequent dark age lasting 30,000 years.
Seldon proposes a plan to reduce this period of chaos to just 1,000 years by creating the Foundation, a repository of knowledge designed to preserve and rebuild human civilization.
As Seldon and his followers work to establish the Foundation on the remote planet Terminus, they face political opposition from the ruling genetic dynasty of Emperors—Brother Day, Brother Dusk, and Brother Dawn.
