Drive Angry (2011)

Drive Angry is an action-packed supernatural thriller directed by Patrick Lussier. The film follows Milton (Nicolas Cage), a man who escapes from Hell to rescue his granddaughter, who has been kidnapped by a cult. The cult, led by the sinister Jonah King (Billy Burke), plans to sacrifice her as part of a dark ritual. Milton’s motive is not just to save his granddaughter but also to seek revenge on the cult for the murder of his daughter.
Milton is pursued by a relentless detective (William Fichtner) who works for the mysterious and otherworldly “Accountant,” a being who manages the souls of the damned. While Milton races against time to stop the sacrifice, he forms an unlikely partnership with Piper (Amber Heard), a tough and resourceful woman who is trying to escape from her own troubled past.
The film is filled with high-octane car chases, intense action sequences, and supernatural elements as Milton fights his way through a series of violent confrontations. Along the way, he faces both human enemies and demonic forces. The film has a strong sense of over-the-top action, with Cage’s character being portrayed as a vengeful anti-hero determined to stop the cult at all costs.

Drive Angry blends elements of horror, fantasy, and gritty action, offering a fast-paced and visually striking ride. The film’s tone is intentionally exaggerated, filled with blood, violence, and a dark sense of humor, making it a cult favorite for fans of extreme action films.
