Abigail (2019)

Abigail (2019) is a Russian fantasy-adventure film set in a steampunk-inspired world. Directed by Aleksandr Boguslavskiy, the movie follows the story of a young woman named Abigail (Tinatin Dalakishvili), who lives in a city that has been closed off from the outside world due to a mysterious epidemic. The government claims that the infected are taken away for quarantine, but Abigail discovers a shocking truth when her father is taken — he might not be sick, but rather in possession of magical powers.
As Abigail grows up, she begins to realize that she too has special abilities and must embark on a dangerous journey to find her father. Along the way, she encounters a group of rebels and learns that magic has been outlawed by the oppressive regime that controls the city.
The film combines elements of mystery, magic, and action as Abigail fights to uncover the truth and reclaim her identity in a world filled with dark secrets.
