VENOM 3: ALONG CAME A SPIDER

Venom 3’s plot remains a mystery. The third installment could move forward with Patrick Mulligan’s symbiote, or it could take a major detour from the previous two movies and introduce a non-symbiote villain.

Cameos or supporting roles from other Sony Spider-Man Universe characters such as Jared Leto’s Morbius, Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s Kraven, or Michael Keaton’s Vulture are possible, with the possibility of an MCU crossover with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man being low, but still worthy of consideration.

While Venom 3 likely won’t be as crowded as fan trailers set it up to be, the movie will likely be the most ambitious in the trilogy.

Joining Tom Hardy are actors Juno Temple and Chiwetel Ejiofor, the latter of which already appeared in the MCU as Doctor Strange’s enemy Karl Mordo — though Ejiofor is likely to be playing a new character in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage’s cliffhanger showed Stephen Graham’s Patrick Mulligan seemingly absorbing a symbiote, which suggests he will appear in Venom 3, if not as the main villain, then at least in a supporting role.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage director Andy Serkis won’t be returning for Venom 3. Instead, Venom and Venom: Let There Be Carnage writer Kelly Marcel will be making her directorial debut in the sequel.

“Venom 3: Along Came a Spider” continues the chaotic and darkly humorous saga of Eddie Brock and his symbiote alter-ego, Venom. This third installment brings a new level of intensity as Eddie faces a formidable foe—this time, it’s a symbiote-enhanced version of the iconic Spider-Man villain, the character “Along Came a Spider.”

The film dives deeper into the relationship between Eddie and Venom, exploring the complexities and struggles of coexisting with a powerful alien entity.

Their bond is tested as they confront a new threat that pushes them to their limits. The addition of “Along Came a Spider” as the antagonist brings a fresh and exciting dynamic to the story, with intense action sequences and a darker tone that fans of the franchise will appreciate.

However, while the film excels in delivering high-octane action and impressive visual effects, some may find the plot a bit convoluted, with too many subplots vying for attention.

The character development, particularly for the villain, could have been more fleshed out, leaving some emotional moments feeling unearned.

Overall, “Venom 3: Along Came a Spider” is a thrilling ride for fans of the series, offering a blend of humor, horror, and action that keeps audiences engaged, even if it falls short in some areas.
