FIFTY SHADES 4: Revenge Teaser (2025) With Dakota Johnson & Jamie Dornan

Fifty Shades of Grey is a 2015 American erotic romantic drama film directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, with a screenplay by Kelly Marcel. The film is based on E. L. James’ 2011 novel of the same name and stars Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele, a college graduate who begins a sadomasochistic relationship with young business magnate Christian Grey, played by Jamie Dornan.

Fifty Shades of Grey premiered at the 69th Berlin International Film Festival on February 11, 2015, and was released on February 13, 2015, in IMAX formats, by Universal Pictures and Focus Features. Despite receiving generally negative reviews, it was an immediate box office success, breaking numerous box office records and earning over US$570 million worldwide, while its soundtrack album was also successful.

The film was the most awarded at the 36th Golden Raspberry Awards, winning five of six nominations, including Worst Picture (tied with Fantastic Four) and both leading roles. Ellie Goulding’s single “Love Me Like You Do” was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song, while The Weeknd’s single “Earned It” was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song at the 88th Academy Awards.

It is the first installment in the Fifty Shades film series and was followed by two sequels, Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed, released in 2017 and 2018, respectively, both of which were received negatively but were commercially successful.

The plot centers around a mysterious figure from Christian’s dark, pre-Ana life, who returns seeking vengeance. This individual, driven by both personal vendetta and unrequited obsession with Christian, begins manipulating events around the couple, threatening their family and the life they’ve built. As strange occurrences unfold, it becomes clear that this is not just about Christian’s past relationships but something far more sinister—a power play that involves both his business empire and personal life.

Ana, now a successful author and strong-willed mother, is no longer the naïve young woman from the earlier films. She refuses to be a victim and becomes determined to uncover the truth behind the escalating threats. As she delves deeper into Christian’s past, secrets emerge, challenging her trust in him.

The tension builds as Christian must confront his darker instincts once again to protect his family, all while struggling with guilt over his past mistakes. The erotic tension between Ana and Christian remains central, but now it’s intertwined with an intense thriller element, blurring the lines between desire, control, and revenge.As the stalker closes in, the film crescendos to a dramatic, action-packed climax where love, power, and survival are all on the line, culminating in a gripping conclusion to the Fifty Shades saga.
