VIKINGS: Valhalla Season 3 (2024)
Vikings: Valhalla Season 3 (2024) continues the epic saga, bringing viewers deeper into the dramatic final days of the Viking Age. Created by Jeb Stuart for Netflix, the historical drama is a sequel to History’s Vikings and is filmed in the stunning landscapes of County Wicklow, Ireland. Set one hundred years after the original Vikings series, the story follows the turbulent period leading up to the Battle of Stamford Bridge in 1066, marking the end of the Viking era.
The series explores the growing tensions between the Vikings and the English royals, as well as the internal conflicts among the Vikings themselves, torn between their Christian and Pagan beliefs.
Central to the plot are iconic characters such as Leif Erikson, Freydís Eiríksdóttir, and Harald Hardrada, who embark on a perilous journey across seas and battlefields, from Kattegat to England, fighting for survival, power, and glory. Vikings: Valhalla showcases the epic final clashes that define the fall of the Viking Age, culminating in the historic Battle of Stamford Bridge.
The series was originally announced with a 24-episode order in November 2019 and was officially renewed for a second and third season in March 2022.
