Riddick: Rule the Dark (2013)
“Riddick: Rule the Dark” (2013) is the third installment in the Riddick franchise, directed by David Twohy and starring Vin Diesel as the titular character, Richard B. Riddick. The film picks up with Riddick stranded on a harsh, alien planet after being betrayed by his own people, the Necromongers.
In the story, Riddick is left for dead on a desolate planet, battling fierce creatures and the planet’s dangerous environment in order to survive.
He eventually activates a distress beacon to draw in a crew of bounty hunters. Two separate groups—one led by a bounty hunter named Vaako (Karl Urban) and the other by a mercenary called Dahl (Katee Sackhoff)—arrive, each seeking to capture or kill Riddick for the substantial reward on his head.
However, Riddick proves to be a lethal force, taking down both human and alien enemies in his quest for revenge against those who betrayed him. Throughout the film, he grapples with his primal instincts while demonstrating his tactical genius and survival skills. Ultimately, he aims to regain control of his destiny and “rule the dark,” becoming the ultimate survivor and predator in the harsh universe.
