Don’t Breathe 2 (2021) is a horror-thriller and the follow-up to the 2016 film Don’t Breathe. Directed by Rodo Sayagues, the story takes place years after the events of the first movie. The Blind Man (Stephen Lang), once the antagonist, has now become a guardian figure.
He lives in seclusion with a young girl named Phoenix (Madelyn Grace), whom he rescued from a house fire years earlier and raised as his own.
Their peaceful existence is shattered when a group of criminals kidnaps Phoenix, intending to hold her for ransom. Once again, the Blind Man must rely on his sharp senses and ruthless methods to track down the kidnappers and save her, unleashing his violent and vengeful nature.
The film delves into themes of survival, revenge, and the consequences of the Blind Man’s past actions, blurring the lines between hero and villain while further exploring his complex character.
