The Chronicles of Narnia
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005) follows four siblings—Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy—who are evacuated to the countryside during World War II. While exploring their new home, Lucy stumbles upon an enchanted wardrobe that leads to the magical land of Narnia. In this world, an eternal winter reigns under the rule of the White Witch, Jadis.
The siblings soon learn that Narnia is under a prophecy that foretells the return of two sons of Adam and two daughters of Eve who will end the Witch’s reign. With the help of Aslan, the noble lion and rightful king of Narnia, they join forces with the talking animals and other magical creatures of Narnia to overthrow the White Witch and restore peace to the land.
Aslan sacrifices himself for Edmund, who had betrayed his siblings, but ultimately, Aslan is resurrected, symbolizing hope and renewal. The battle to defeat the Witch is intense, but the children triumph, and peace is restored to Narnia. The siblings are crowned as kings and queens, but eventually, they return to their world, where they are once again children.
The story highlights themes of bravery, redemption, and the fight between good and evil.
