Penny Dreadful – Season 1, Episode 10 (Grand Guignol)
In the season finale, Vanessa, Sir Malcolm, Ethan, and the rest of the group prepare for their final confrontation with the Master vampire. They track Mina to the Grand Guignol theatre, where she is being held. Inside, they face off against a horde of vampires, leading to an intense and brutal battle.
Sir Malcolm is ultimately forced to make a heartbreaking decision when Mina reveals she has fully embraced the darkness. Realizing that she is beyond saving, he kills her to protect Vanessa. Devastated but resolute, Malcolm accepts Vanessa as his new family.
Meanwhile, Ethan’s secret is finally revealed—when cornered by Inspector Rusk’s men, he transforms into a werewolf and slaughters them all. Elsewhere, Victor Frankenstein revives Brona Croft, setting the stage for her new existence as the Bride of Frankenstein.
The episode ends with Vanessa seeking answers about her nature, leading to a chilling offer from a priest to undergo an exorcism.
