After the catastrophic events on Phobos, the gates of hell were seemingly sealed. But in reality, that was just the beginning.

Commander Rex Harlan (Dwayne Johnson) – the sole survivor of the original squad – is haunted by the trauma and is considered mentally unhinged by the military. Meanwhile, Dr. Liana Vos (Elizabeth Olsen), a quantum biologist, discovers that energy frequencies from another dimension are spreading across Mars – a sign that a “Second Abyss” is about to open.

When a new research station – ARK-9 – loses signal, Liana is tasked with reestablishing contact. She is forced to work with Rex – who is released on one condition: to lead a special mission to ARK-9.

But when they arrive, they face more than just monsters – they face an ancient intelligence, called The Abyss Mind, that is manipulating space, time and human consciousness.

Together with a new task force, Rex and Liana must fight in the dark space, through warped dimensions, to prevent the Abyss Mind from opening “Eternal Hell” – an entity that cannot be destroyed, only imprisoned.
