Following the first part (2021), Mortal Kombat 2 takes viewers straight into the real Mortal Kombat tournament – a life-and-death battle between Earthrealm and Outworld, where defeat means destruction.
Cole Young (Lewis Tan) now knows his destiny and together with Earthrealm warriors – such as Liu Kang, Sonya Blade, Kung Lao (possibly resurrected?), and especially Johnny Cage (Karl Urban) – they prepare for a legendary battle.
Meanwhile, Shang Tsung and Quan Chi plot to summon dark forces and revive Shao Kahn, pushing the battle to epic proportions.
The bloody confrontation between Scorpion and Sub-Zero may be renewed with unexpected twists.
