The ‘Priest-King of Mohenjo-Daro’ is a finely crafted statue from the Indus Valley Civilization, also known as the Harappan Civilization.
Discovered in present-day Pakistan, the sculpture dates to around 2000 BC. Carved from steatite, the figure features a neatly trimmed beard, a headband, and a patterned robe—suggesting a figure of high status or ritual importance.
It remains one of the most iconic artifacts of this ancient, sophisticated urban culture.
