Ancient Leather Shoes from Damendorf Bog

This pair of intricately cut leather shoes, dating back over 2,300 years, was discovered in 1900 on the preserved remains of a bog body in Damendorf, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.
Belonging to a man who lived around 300 BC, the shoes showcase remarkable craftsmanship, with their fine cutwork and design surviving centuries in the unique anaerobic conditions of the bog.
