Coffin mummy cleopatra

British Museum
Period: Roman Period
Provenance: Sheikh Abd el-Qurna (Thebes)
This is the 𝘮𝘶𝘮𝘮𝘺 of Cleopatra, daughter of Candace, who belonged to the family of Cornelius Pollius, Archon of Thebes during the reign of Emperor Trajan.
According to the inscriptions on her coffin, she died at the age of 17 years, 1 month, and 25 days.
An earlier interpretation had suggested she was only 11 at the time of death, but this has since been revised, as the developmental state of her skeleton clearly indicates she died in late adolescence.
